GroupWise WebAccess FAQ
Get your e-mail on the internet, anywhere at anytime.


Step 1. Assign a password in GroupWise.

Open GroupWise, Click Tools > Options > Security > Password tab.
Enter your password (it’s case sensitive).
(New Password and Confirm New Password)

Please note, step 1 is a one-time setup that needs to be done from your work pc. Once you have set this password, you will not need to repeat this step. Most users will already have this password set.

   
The remaining steps detail the proceedure that you will need to follow each time you use WebAccess.
   

Step 2. Open Internet browser. (It must have a min. 128 bit encryption)

Netscape 4.75 or greater is 128 encryption.

Internet Explorer – Click Help / About Internet Explorer /
Cipher Strength: 128-bit.

Upgrades can be found at microsoft.com or netscape.com.

   
Step 3.

Type the address: hsmail.medctr.ohio-state.edu

   
Step 4.

The user name and password can be obtained by calling the Help Desk at 293-3861.

Click > OK

   
Step 5.

Click GO

   
Step 6. Open Groupwise webaccess.

Name: jdoe (Novell username)
Password: XXXX (created in step 1.)

Click > LOGIN

You can bookmark this page to bypass step 5 in the future.
